Dear NOGs from SEE region,

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the South Eastern European Dialogue
on Internet Governance (SEEDIG), and RIPE as our supporting organization, I
am extending an official invitation to participate in *SEEDIG 8 Annual
Meeting on 6-7 November 2023 at WESPA Business and Lounge in Zagreb,
Croatia*.

*SEEDIG is a unique United Nations’ affiliated multistakeholder initiative*,
bringing together representatives of governments, civil society, academia,
technical community, and private sector to engage in meaningful discussions
at the intersection of technology, digital policies, internet governance
and regulation. *SEEDIG covers 18 countries in the region of South Eastern
Europe (SEE)*, namely Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo*, North Macedonia,
Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine. Its
primary goal is to foster cooperation, and exchange of knowledge and
experiences in the digital domain. As the SEE region continues to
demonstrate rapid technological advancement and can boast one of the most
skilled human capitals, it's crucial to provide a space where stakeholders
can come together, share insights, and collectively address challenges that
impact the digital landscape of the region.

Each year SEEDIG annual meeting is hosted in a new city, a testament to our
commitment to expanding outreach and engaging with local communities
throughout the SEE region. *This year’s theme, “Digital Beyond Borders:
Regional Synergy for Community Advancement”*, underlines our focus on
empowering communities to harness the opportunities presented by the
digital age. We are delighted to partner with Politiscope, a Split-based
privacy watchdog organization, and CARNET, the registry operator for the
.hr ccTLD for Croatia, in bringing SEEDIG 8 to the beautiful city of Zagreb.

Among *SEEDIG’s key supporting organizations* are Internet Corporation for
Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Regional Internet Registry RIPE NCC,
the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the Organization for
Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Internet Society Foundation,
Open Society Foundations, European Telecommunications Network Operators’
Association (ETNO), and other regional and national institutions and
organizations.

*By participating in SEEDIG 8, you will:*

· engage in interactive discussions and capacity-building workshops

· gain regional and international exposure and opportunities to
showcase your expertise and projects

· establish connections and potential collaborations with a diverse
array of stakeholders

· contribute to shaping the digital future and policy discussions in
the SEE region.

*More information about SEEDIG 8 and its agenda can be found on the **meeting
webpage* <https://seedig.net/seedig-8/>*. To confirm your participation,
please register **here* <https://form.typeform.com/to/SBRSfPoZ>*.*

On 6 November, we will host a *business dating networking event*, where all
participants will have a chance to briefly present their projects and
initiatives and find opportunities for synergies with stakeholders from
across the SEE region. If you want to present your work, drop us an email
for further details.

We look forward to your participation in SEEDIG 8 and to the opportunity to
collaborate. Should you have any questions or need further information,
please do not hesitate to contact SEEDIG Executive Committee at
execom at seedig.net.

Sincerely,

Dusan Stojicevic
